Torrevieja, the nearby resort, is home to one of Spain’s largest fishing fleets. The old town with port and nautical club has a warm and welcoming ambiance and will appeal to those who look for life in true Spanish style. In recent years Torrevieja has become a first-class tourist location.
You will find great shopping, clean beaches, pretty coves, plenty of golf courses, nightlife and that warm Mediterranean atmosphere.

There are also 2 water parks, picturesque marina with numerous bars and restaurants and a palm tree lined promenade that transforms into a bustling market on summer evenings.
And for a refreshing afternoon swim and for more deserted beaches drive to the far end of Dehesa Campoamor, where the rust – coloured cliffs drop down to small and empty coves.
The surroundings of Torrevieja are full of historic-artistic monuments, like The Casino, a modernistic building of the beginning of this century, with its famous mozarabic style.

Alicante is also worth visiting if you get a chance. There is an amazing historic castle “Castillo Santa Barbara” on the hill above the city and many other historical wonders. Visiting an old town with its great bars & restaurants is a must and also do not forget the fantastic shopping.
Alicante is about 40 minutes drive away, so you could visite on your last day and head straight to the airport

There is also a wonderful shopping centre in Torrevieja with cinema, bars, and restaurants, all at great prices. Torrevieja is about 15 minutes drive away, but remember roads can get quite busy in summer months
